DevOps Engineer

Build and run the pipelines, servers and monitoring behind our clients’ systems and our own products — and be one of the people who keep them up.

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines so teams can release safely, many times a week.
  • Set up, automate and look after servers on public cloud, private cloud and our own data centre.
  • Package and run applications in containers, with auto-scaling where it is needed.
  • Set up monitoring, alerts and backups — and test that restores really work.
  • Join the on-call rota, help fix incidents, then write up what we learned.
  • Document what you build so clients understand and trust it.

What we’re looking for

  • Hands-on experience running servers in production.
  • Comfortable on the command line and with shell scripting.
  • Experience with containers and at least one CI/CD tool.
  • A good grasp of networking basics: DNS, HTTP, firewalls and load balancing.
  • A habit of automating repetitive work and writing things down.

Nice to have

  • Infrastructure as code.
  • Experience with a public cloud, or with running your own hardware.
  • An interest in security and backups.
